Flute Workshop at Sunburst Feb 9th 2013

posted Jan 11, 2013, 11:28 AM by Alice Reinheimer
The date for the next Native American flute workshop (number 8) at the Sunburst Sanctuary is Saturday, February 9th. If you are planning on coming and haven’t yet notified me, please let me know (alfredking@earthlink.net).

If you are a beginning flute player or have no experience and want to get started we will be having a 1.5 hour starting session at 10:30 in the morning to cover the rudiments of flute playing. This morning session is appropriate for the first time player as well as someone who wants to brush up on the basics. The afternoon session starts at 1:00 and runs to 4:00. This is the eighth in a series of workshops, but beginners should be able to follow most of what is being covered.

The suggested donation for the afternoon session is $25 and the morning session is just an additional $5 for a total of $30. We are using six hole Native American style flutes. The ideal flute for the class is a mid range flute with a root pitch of A. I have flutes available for $55.

Email me if you have either questions or suggestions about what will be covered.

Once you let me know you are planning on attending, I will send directions to the sanctuary and give you the details on what to bring.
